Production Notes

Things To Do is the debut feature film for The Dot Film Company.

The film was shot entirely in the City Of Windsor, Ontario Canada with full support and service from the Mayor’s office. It was completed over a four-week period, in 21 shoot days during the months of July and August 2005. Over 20 locations, 30 crewmembers and 26,815 feet of Super 16mm, Fuji film were required in the making of this film.

The script was co-written by Mike Stasko and Theodore Bezaire in New York City. The final draft of the script was work shopped by industry professionals at Columbia University. Principal photography began on Monday July 18th, 2005 and was officially wrapped on Saturday August 13, 2005.

The key crew was brought in from the film epicenter of Canada, Toronto, Ontario. They were housed in a 1920’s mansion located on one of Windsor’s most picturesque byway’s, Riverside Drive. To meet the requirements of the budget, this house was also used as a production office, a film location and as a venue for the wrap party.

Crystal Casting, a supporter and service provider to independent filmmakers, provided casting for the film.  Major speaking roles were sourced out of Los Angeles, New York and Toronto. Smaller speaking parts and extras were found in the City Of Windsor through more intimate and personal sessions held by the Director and Cinematographer.

Editing for the film began during the latter part of production in early August. A completion date for final cut is scheduled for December 2005. Music will be provided by various sources.
