A mild mannered birder seeks revenge on a younger rival, after losing the highly coveted Head of Ornithology position at the National Park.

Ron Spencer, a mild-mannered high-school teacher and devoted bird watcher is thrown into a tailspin of despair after his long sought after position as “Head of Ornithology” at the National Park is given to the young and flashy Floyd Hawkins.

Ron runs into Ben, a pot-smoking janitor and former student. The mismatched pair hit it off and with Ben’s urging, they set off on a campaign to take down Floyd and restore Ron’s bird watching legacy.

John Clem heads up north to investigate the disappearance of his estranged father. Upon arriving at the family cottage, John feels a sense of home; something he hasn’t felt since he was a child. Running into Avery, played by Ray Wise (Twin Peaks, Reaper), a colleague of his father’s, he receives no help on his dad’s disappearance, but instead a new set of eyes in which to view the living world around him.

A self-absorbed, has-been Hollywood actor struggles to bond with his straight-laced Canadian son in an attempt to win the film role that promises to propel him back to fame.

Vic Cecile is a self-absorbed, washed up 80’s actor still looking for his break in Hollywood. After auditioning for the role that promises to revive his ailing career, Vic learns the producers aren’t convinced; he’s not the “father type”. So to get in touch with his fatherly instincts, Vic travels to Canada where he attempts to forge a relationship with Eric, a straight-laced college professor whom he fathered through sperm donation. Vic’s idea of fatherhood doesn’t sit well with Eric at first, but they begin to bond when Vic helps Eric overcome problems at work. As they become closer and Vic actually starts to BE a father, Eric learns that Vic hasn’t been completely honest about his trip to Canada. Vic’s shaky house of cards falls apart and threatens to ruin Eric’s career. Before Vic can head back to Hollywood to play the hero father, he must save Eric’s career and prove to him that being a father is more than just DNA.

A chance encounter at the grocery store reunites him with Mac, an unusual acquaintance from his past who acts as the perfect catalyst for Adam to turn the wheel of change and rebirth. Together the underachieving duo set out to complete a “Things To Do” list, a collection of bizarre aspirations plucked from the gaps of an incomplete adolescence.
